OG Maco Says He Came Up With Larry June's Ad-Libs

Publish date: 2024-08-30

While haters may accuse OG Maco of being a one-hit-wonder, the rapper confirmed during a recent sit-down with VladTV that he’s been hard at work behind the scenes penning most of today’s biggest rapper tags and ad-libs. He spoke on how the OG Parker tag was his doing and said he even helped Larry June create his TFM motto and all of his adlibs.

“Larry actually flew me out to California, to The Bay and was like, ‘Bro I’m thinking about quitting this rap shit,'” Maco recalled. “I told him right then I’m like, ‘Bro, you know I got all these crazy ass ad-libs … you need to come up with some shit that’s gonna catch ’em like ’cause you got everything else. You really got the real story, you got the real like you painting a picture, but like they need to feel it just like they hear it.”

He added, “and I remember that day was when he first did the ‘yee-hee’…and it’s just evolved, and you know now Larry is Larry.”
