NLE Choppa Missing Update: Is He Safe?

According to recent reports, the Memphis, Tennessee-born rapper NLE Choppa missing update has arrived.

He shot to prominence after the release of the song Shotta Flow in January 2019 vanished. 

Angela Potts, the mother of the missing 20-year-old, posted on Instagram on Friday, October 20, requesting fans to contact her with any information.

She has been waiting to hear from her son for hours, sources say. 

According to Angela, just before NLE Choppa vanished, he had plans to return to his former neighborhood in Cottonwood Memphis, Tennessee, in order to work on a mixtape there.

Get to know the NLE Choppa 

Bryson Potts, a rapper from Cottonwood Memphis, Tennessee, was born on November 1, 2002, attended Cordova High School, and started rapping at 15 in 2018 with his mother’s backing.

 Despite a few legal issues as a youth, Choppa pursued his music career.

Several interviews have shown that the rapper had a troubled past and that his Cottonwood, California, teenage choices caused him many troubles. 

He said his actions got him in trouble. He said on the second episode of “The Rise of NLE Choppa” that he decided to start over while in juvenile jail.

Cottonwood is the name of the first album that NLE Choppa released, and it came out in 2019. 

On the album, he is shown as returning to the symbolic neighborhood that is littered with gun bars. 

While he was out and about in the community, he broadcast to the world that he is a “rude boy who loves guns and drugs” and that he doesn’t care what other people think of him.

Following the critical and commercial success of his debut studio album, he issued Cottonwood 2 in April of 2023.

After midnight on Saturday (Oct. 21), Potts assured fans that they no longer needed to worry about Choppa.

She thanked his supporters, explaining that he was fine after taking some time for himself. “He just needed a moment but didn’t let his loved ones know,” his mother explained in the update.

She added, “I didn’t mean to scare anyone with my post, and I didn’t expect people to think he was missing, but dealing with the challenges of being a celebrity’s mother can be overwhelming at times.”
